2007-Present: The Rev. Dr. James Coaxum, III, a powerful preacher, is stressing an increase in membership, spirituality, sacrifice, tithing, unity and service to God.  Under his leadership, many organizations have been formed including the Male Chorus, the Youth Choir and the Youth Dance Ministry. He has reorganized the Class Leader System and the Sons of Allen as well.

 

The church also witnessed a renovated kitchen, new pews, updated sound system, a new roof, paving of the parking lot and fence enclosure, and purchase of mini-bus for transportation.

 

Community outreach has been a focus of Rev. Dr. Coaxum's pastoral leadership. The Feeding he Community Program has expanded into a full-fledged food pantry partially supported by the newly formed Walk for Hunger Ministry. On the fourth Thursday of the month, the St. James Food Pantry distributes food and staples to the needy. The CHOICES After-School program operates in conjunction with Atlantic Cape Community College and has expanded to support Robotcs and the Alice E. Cash Annual Spelling Bee.
